EDLIGHT SUMMER LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Making education fair, accessible and affordable for all.

EdLight Summer Leadership Program is EdLight's Annual summer program for highschool student between 15 and 18 years old to learn more about opportunities for students and become the leaders Haiti and the world needs.

Our participants will have the ability to reflect upon their strengths and weaknesses. Learn about professional orientation, personal finance, college application, entrepreneurship, and scholarship opportunities. Meet speakers from all over the world and various professions, and explore how to become a better leader in your community to make it more peaceful, and just.

At the end of the program, the participants are expected to submit a proposal about a community project. This is a requirement to receive the program certificate.

GUIDELINES

Application Deadline

Till July 25th

Every applicant has until the 25th day of July to submit fill out and submit the application form and all supportive documents.

Our team will then review every application, and 20 students will be selected to participate in our summer program.

The results should come out within the first week after the submission deadline.

Program Description

Program Preparation

Timeline: August 1st – August 15th

By now, you should know if you are selected to attend the program. Then we will be communicating with you about the logistics of the events and the different speakers that we will have, and what you need to prepare in advance for the event. However, some of the things you should be thinking about having are:

Laptop/Desktop with webcam
Reliable internet connection
Zoom application installed on laptop/desktop
Notebook for the event
Pencil for the event

You might also receive a little package from EdLight during that period about treats for the program.

ESLP 2022

Timeline: August 15th– August 29th

Now our program starts!!!

We will be meeting three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for two weeks. During these two weeks, there will be plenty of activities, and speakers sharing their knowledge.

You will learn about personal growth, college application, professional development, etc.

Last Day
Graduation Day

EdLight will have an excursion to one of the very prolific organizations in the Metropolitan Port-au-Prince area. During that trip, the student will have the chance to present their project to one of the executives and receive feedback from it.

The students that are successful in presenting a great project will receive our certificate upon graduating from ESLP 2022.
